DESCRIPTION:GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS COUNCIL\n\nThe Government Affairs Council of the North San Antonio Chamber serves as an advocate for Member businesses and their employees before municipal\, county\, state\, and federal officials on political policy issues impacting the economic growth\, quality of life\, and financial health of local industries. The Government Affairs Council informs and educates Members on proposed initiatives\, policies\, and legislation that may affect the way business in San Antonio is conducted. Through a direct link to business\, political\, and civic leaders\, the Chamber may take an action-oriented position to support legislative issues and influence public policy.\n\n \n\nSTATE AND FEDERAL LEGISLATIVE ADVOCACY\n\n2021 | The 87th Texas Legislature and the 117th U.S. Congress will each be in session beginning in January 2021. Under the leadership of the Government Affairs Council Chair and the Legislative Chair\, and in collaboration with the Infrastructure Council and the Workforce Council\, the North SA Chamber will work with the Bexar County legislative delegation as well as other legislative and elected leaders to champion a pro-business agenda and ensure that the voices of business ? large and small\, are heard and that the policies and legislative issues that are important to them are represented in Austin and Washington D.C.\n\n2021 - 2022 North San Antonio Chamber | 87th Legislative Agenda (PDF)
