Morningside Ministries Hosts Special End of WWII Recognition Event with NY Times Bestselling Author and Historian
In remembrance of the 70th anniversary of the end of WWII (V-J Day), Morningside Ministries will host a special event Friday August 14, 2015 at two of its senior living communities. NY Times bestselling author Andrew Carroll will talk about the extraordinary sacrifices made by U.S. Troops during WWII as seen in the incredible letters they wrote home.
Carroll will discuss letters from his vast collection of original war letters housed at Chapman University in Orange County, California. Veterans are invited to bring their own letters to the event as well.
The first event will be held at 9:30 a.m. at Morningside Ministries at Menger Springs (1100 Grand Blvd., Boerne, 78006) and the second will take place at 2:00 p.m. at Morningside Ministries at The Meadows (730 Babcock Rd., 78201).
