First Choice Emergency Room opened its first facility in Flower Mound, TX in December 2002 in hopes of providing higher quality emergency medical care to a growing number of dissatisfied patients in the community. Due to the tremendous response from the local community, including being voted the number one ER in Denton County, Texas by the Star Community Newspaper in 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2006, First Choice Emergency Room continues to expand in Texas.

Based on patient feedback collected by Press Ganey Associates, Inc., an independent healthcare advisory services and consulting organization, First Choice Emergency Room received the prestigious Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award in 2013 and 2014 for exceeding the 95^th percentile in patient satisfaction nationwide.
